Program Overview:

Program Duration: 6 weeks (1 hour per week)

The Youth Business Planning Intermediate Program (YBPIP) is designed to build on the basic business planning knowledge acquired in the beginner's level class. This program aims to further develop the business planning skills of young individuals, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of creating detailed and effective business plans.

Week 1: Review and Reinforcement

• Review of basic business planning concepts learned in the beginner's class

• Reinforcement of the importance of business planning

• Interactive discussion on the experiences and learnings from the beginner's class

Week 2: Advanced Market Research

• In-depth discussion on market research techniques

• Understanding how to analyze market trends and customer behavior

• Hands-on activity: Conducting a mini market research

Week 3: Detailed Business Objectives and Strategies

• Setting SMART business objectives

• Developing effective strategies to achieve business objectives

• Group activity: Creating a business strategy for a hypothetical business

Week 4: Financial Planning

• Understanding the role of financial planning in business

• Learning how to create a budget and financial forecast

• Hands-on activity: Creating a simple budget for a hypothetical business

Week 5: Marketing and Sales Planning

• Developing a marketing and sales plan

• Understanding the importance of a unique selling proposition (USP)

• Group activity: Creating a marketing plan for a hypothetical business

Week 6: Finalizing the Business Plan and Presentation Skills

• Reviewing and finalizing the business plan

• Developing effective presentation skills

• Final project: Presenting the business plan

Throughout the program, students will be given hands-on tasks and projects to apply what they have learned. They will also have the opportunity to interact with guest speakers who are successful entrepreneurs, providing them with real-world insights and inspiration.

By the end of the program, students will have a deeper understanding of business planning, a refined business plan, and enhanced presentation skills.
